We will be staring a new study in the 9:30 Adult Sunday School in Room 5. We will be discussing the book "On the Mystery: Discerning Divinity in Process" by Dr. Catherine Keller. The book unfolds a labyrinth meditation on seven signs: freeing theology from the mirror game of absolute fundamentalism and dissolute secularism, truth as a way and not an endpoint, creation as becoming, divine power redefined in the terms of the gospel of love, God's Eros towards man calling us to become, our response to the Divine Eros, and the basieia (realm or kingdom) of God. No reading is required, but a willingness to be open to new ways of looking at and for God is helpful.
Coordinator(s): Don Brown, Hanford Smith, Kitty Williams
Audience: Adult, 16+
Class Time: Sunday, 9:30 am
The Call Project:
The Call Project is led by Amy Caruso, our new ministry intern, and explores call. What is a call from God? How do we discover it? How do we explore it?
The group will discuss, pray, and even spend time listening for their call.
The class will meet after worship in Room 5.
This class begins on February 14.
Coordinator(s): Amy Caruso
