YOUTH FELLOWSHIP:

Interested in getting together with other kids for fun and fellowship? Need to discuss the joys and stresses of being a Christian teenager in today’s world?  Want to give back to your community working with a group of your peers? Then youth groups are just for you!

Youth groups meet the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of each month, from 12:30 - 2 pm. The group will have lunch and take part in fun and service activities that celebrate the role God plays in our everyday lives. Fifth Sundays are field trip/special event days. Invite a friend to join!

University Christian Church offers Youth Fellowship for the following age groups:

  • God's Littlest Angels: Preschool - 2nd Grade
  • JYF (Junior Youth Fellowship): Grades 1 - 6
  • CYF (Christian Youth Fellowship): Grades 7 - 12

NEW in 2008-09! Liturgical Dance. Once a month, youth group will include liturgical dance practice. Pack comfortable athletic clothes to change into after church. Adults are welcome too!

Download our Emergency Form, as well as our Permission Slip for field trips. Before children can participate in our youth programs, parents/guardians are required to submit these forms.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES FOR ADULTS:

Adult Sunday School - A Discussion of Romans: Hanford Smith (Smitty) facilitates this class. The Book of Romans is the primary focus of this class, and attendants will participate in intensive discussions on this power-packed book of Christian focus and Discipleship. Portions of Paul's letters to the Romans will be read, analyzed and discussed to see how this pertains to our lives as Christians today. We encourage your attendance, and your opinions are welcome.

NEW! Sunday Afternoon Study: A series of mini-studies will take place this year after church service on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. For October and November, the class topic will be Unplugging the Christmas Machine. The discussion group will meet during the time that youth groups meet, making it perfect for parents who have dropped their kids off. All adults are welcome.

BIBLE STUDY GROUPS:

Disciple Bible Study: This study is for committed readers and those who enjoy group study. It requires daily reading and preparation, as well as weekly participation in a group learning experience. Daily study is guided through a student manual, which can be purchased for a minimal cost. Meetings include a brief video, in-depth study of various passages and group discussion of life application of the scriptures.
Disciple: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study is the foundational course, and it takes a comprehensive, chronological journey through the whole Biblical story, from Genesis to Revelation.

NEW! Mind ▪ Body ▪ Spirit: Join us Thursday nights for weight management, low-impact exercise and discussion of The Wired Word – a weekly email about current events as they relate to our faith. Enhance your mind, body and spirit, and grow with us.

What’s So Amazing About Grace? We speak of grace often, but do we understand it? In What’s So Amazing About Grace, award-winning author Philip Yancey explores grace. "If grace is God's love for the undeserving, then what does it look like in action?"
Engaging questions, provocative Bible study and lively discussion are just part of the class. Prepare to leave your comfort zone to embrace a more vigorous, passionate Christianity.

Martin Bible Study: Frank and Millie Martin will host Bible study and prayer group in their home Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. All are welcome!
Come for a cup of tea and enjoy a discussion of a Bible book, followed by a time of sharing and prayer. This year's focus book is Romans. This is an interactive group - share your thoughts, ideas and beliefs about how God has worked through the scriptures and in our lives.
